Larson Creek Farm is owned and operated by Leann Hess and Mary Childs whose dream it was to open their home so others can enjoy the beauty and peace to be found here close to Lake Superior in Northern Wisconsin . Larson Creek Farm Bed & Breakfast is part of our newly constructed home completed in June, 2012.
Larson Creek Farm is located on property first homesteaded by Swedish immigrants, Fred and Regina Larson, back in 1890. It is nestled on the hill overlooking Larson Creek, named for Carl Larson, the Larson’s fourth child and the first non-native child born in the new little settlement of Port Wing, Wisconsin. There were twelve children in all and Mary (Larson Childs), one of the Farm’s owners, is the daughter of Thurston, the youngest of the twelve Larson children.
Our 100 acres of forest and wild apple orchards is home to a variety of birds, deer, bear and smaller mammals. Follow our trails hiking, snowshoeing and birdwatching on our secluded woodland paths to experience the peace that can come from being in nature.
